Senior Subject Masterclasses

The ACHPER QLD Masterclass series has been designed to offer Health and Physical Education teachers a deep dive into the content areas covered in the senior Health and PE syllabuses. In 2021 ACHPER QLD will be expanding the offering to include a Sport and Recreation Masterclass.

The ACHPER QLD Senior HPE Masterclasses will be held on the following dates:

 Mon 22 Nov:

  Health

 Tues 23 Nov:

 Physical Education

 Wed 24 Nov:

Sport and Recreation

What is a Masterclass and how is it different to other workshops that ACHPER QLD offers?

During the first half of the day, an expert in the subject matter provides in-depth sessions with the latest research and applications in the community. The expert is usually a university researcher/lecturer, a well respected private practitioner or representatives from specialist government agencies.

The second half of the day involves group work for teachers to discuss the implications for implementation within their school and sharing of ideas and reflections about how best to apply the knowledge gained.
