Welcome to the 2022 Sport and Recreation Conference. Presented by current Sport & Rec teachers, these specialists will deliver their own lessons and activities, sharing their knowledge of how to successfully deliver content. This conference is full of tried and tested activities that teachers will relish! See below for the full program.
Our module sessions will present established lessons, guiding you through core topics, concepts and ideas, inquiry questions and subject matter useful in a wide range of contexts. Our elective workshops will cover a variety of activities, giving you the opportunity to experience learning sequences and practical lessons aimed at maximising participation and enjoyment for your students. The conference will target Project and Investigation Assessment Techniques in the Assessment workshops. Being two of the most popular assessment techniques used in Sport & Rec, you will have access to authentic tasks and assessment criteria as well as Q&A Panel discussions with sport and rec teachers who are successfully applying these techniques. For those new to this applied subject, we’re offering a breakdown of the organisation and structure of the subject. Established teachers will benefit from the session examining the underpinning factors of Sport & Rec. The final sessions on each day will also include time to network and collaborate with colleagues from all over Queensland.
