2019 will see us bring our purpose-built ATAR video production workshop series to teachers across Queensland. With this series, teachers will gain the skills to empower both themselves and their students to plan, produce, edit and data manage high-quality video content for assessment and quality assurance. Activate’s experience in professional film production and education, places us in a unique position to offer workshops which facilitate evidence-based teaching in alignment with the new ATAR curriculum.

We are thrilled to be further strengthening our relationship with ACHPER QLD to upskill the PE teachers of QLD. Our ATAR workshop series is specifically designed to help teachers attain the skills to successfully implement device-based video capturing for multimodal, product and performance tasks and meet QCAA syllabus requirements. This learning process is streamlined by leveraging the utility of simple to use, common devices like iPad and iPhone and associated applications to capture quality video.

The video below is a short example of how Activate Ed worked with teachers of St Peter’s Lutheran College to embed necessary skills required to develop a self-sufficient flipped classroom environment in their junior HPE programs. Leveraging straightforward filmmaking techniques, students have the opportunity to watch demonstrations of skills at home through videos produced by the teaching teamime, freeing up class time to practice. This also has the added benefit of being able to watch the demonstration more than once.
