Bean Bag Balancing

The purpose of this activity it to get children moving whilst balancing an object on their body. Children will use their locomotor and stability skills.

Equipment required:
Small bean bags

Ideas for variations:
Vary the obstacle course created with the markers
Squat down and stand up with bean bag on head
Speed - eg. move slowly and then faster without dropping bean bag
Balance the bean bag on other places eg. shoulder, elbow etc. 

SunSmart schools and early childhood programs
