SPORTING STAR AWARDS

Miela, Minna & Minister.jpg

ACHPER QLD promotes active and healthy lifestyles in education communities across Queensland. ACHPER QLD’s annual Women in Sport Breakfast aims to celebrate female sporting achievements and inspire the next generation to get active

We aim to celebrate achievements in both sporting performance and contribution to sporting activities. Our three categories this year are as follows:

Junior Star: Outstanding sporting performance by a female athlete aged 14 years and under at a local, state or national level.

Senior Star: Outstanding sporting performance by a female athlete aged 15 years and over at a local, state or national level.

Service to Sport: Students who have significantly contributed to school or club sport and/or the sporting pursuit of others (for example coaching, officiating, administration).

All students entered in the junior and senior star categories will be eligible for the "Queensland Schoolgirl Athlete of the Year Award* which will be presented to 2017's most outstanding student. The winner will be announced at the 2017 Women in Sport Breakfast on Wednesday 25 October.

* All awards are the responsibility of the ACHPER QLD Management Committee. Decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered in to.
