Active Girls in School Video Competition

As part of ACHPER’s commitment to promoting active and healthy lifestyles in education communities across Queensland, we were very proud to partner with Queensland Government to offer the Active Girls in School Video Competition this year.

Congratulations to Kirwan State High School, winners of the Inaugural Premier's Award for Best Innovative Physical Activity Program category.

Congratulations to Gumdale State School, winners of the Best Motivational Message category.

About #activegirlsinschool

ACHPER QLD has partnered with Queensland Government to bring the #activegirlsinschool initiative to primary and secondary schools across Queensland. We are offering two schools the opportunity to win a $1000 bursary from QLD Government. Entries for the 2019 competition will open in June 2019.

There are two categories for entry:

Best Innovative Physical Activity Program – submit a video of a program that gets girls active in your school

Premier's Award for Best Motivational Message – submit a video that motivates school aged girls to take part in physical activity.

 

THE MAIN DETAILS

  • Videos may be 30 – 90 seconds in length
  • Schools may enter one or both categories
  • All videos submitted become part of the #activegirlsinschool Video Competition.
  • Videos can be uploaded to YouTube and must contain the hashtag #activegirlsinschool in the title or description
  • The winning school from each category will be awarded a trophy and a $1,000 bursary from the Queensland Government at the 2019 Women in Sport Breakfast.
