adidas School Fun-Run

Get your school involved

The adidas School Fun-Run is an incentive for schools to increase their own fundraising while promoting active and healthy messages. It is a health based alternative to traditional junk food fundraising options such as a chocolate drive.

 The adidas School Fun-Run:

  • Supports HPE curriculum by promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
  • Is inclusive of all children.
  • Can include walking, wheelchair participation and any other chosen forms of locomotion (eg. skipping).
  • Reinforces healthy canteen menus and eliminates junk food from school activities.
  • Creates positive involvement between the school and the community.
  • Requires no school budget to conduct as it is 100% self-funding.
  • Poses no financial risk to the school as profit is guaranteed.

How does my school benefit from doing the adidas School Fun-Run?

The adidas School Fun-Run provides three primary benefits to schools:

  1. Increased funding for the HPE Department or school generally.
  2. Opportunity to showcase school commitment to active and healthy living.
  3. A more inclusive and fun approach, resulting in increased participation due to all students being involved and rewarded.
When can my school hold a Fun-Run?

To suit school calendars, the School Fun-Run can be held on ANY DAY. To increase relevance, schools can link it to existing activities and timings such as:

  • During Health and Physical Education Week in your state/territory.
ACT: 3rd – 7th September 2012
TAS: 3rd – 7th September 2012
QLD: 3rd – 7th September 2012
WA: 3rd – 7th September 2012
NSW: 3rd – 7th September 2012
NT: 5th – 30th September 2012
VIC: 15th – 19th October 2012
SA: 5th – 9th November 2012
  • Combine the adidas School Fun-Run with the School Cross Country Carnival/Sports Day.
  • Conduct the event during the Olympic Games (July 27 - August 12, 2012).
How are the funds raised distributed?

The funds raised are split as follows:

  • 60% of all funds raised are retained by your school as CASH profit.
  • 30% of all funds raised are retained by your school as PRIZES for students.
  • 10% of all funds raised ensure your school receives all the support material needed to run this event.
  • BONUS 1: Every participant receives a FREE Juicie on the day. Juicies are a 100% organic frozen fruit juice refreshment.
  • BONUS 2: Every student raising over $10 in support of their school can enter to win a fmaily holiday to Disneyland in LA.

Congratulations HPE Photo Winner

Winton SS logo.jpg

Michael Gabriel, Physical Education teacher at Winton, a small rural school in Central Queensland is overjoyed for his school to be the winner of the HPE Photo Competition.

The school delivers a P-12 program, with just over 100 enrolments.  According to Michael, "Our students adore being active and for many, HPE is the one thing they can fully engage in and do well at. HPE week is a highlight for our students. This prize will go a long way for some much needed new sports equipment, thanks HART Sport!"

Michael entered the school into the primary competition with a great range of creative physical activities for his primary students but it was his HPE Photo of the secondary students and their caption that was a winner.

"Life has it's ups and downs just like skipping - When we are down we stick together because the next up is never far away!"

Michael has been given a complimentary registration to the ACHPER QLD Brisbane Conference, where the Awards Presentation will be made.
