Management Committee

Tom has been an ACHPER member for over 25 years, and a Fellow of ACHPER since 2005. He has been a committed Health and Physical Education teacher in Queensland at Primary, Secondary and Tertiary levels for over 35 years having been associated with delivering over 1500 graduates into the HPE profession as well as six PhD students. He has championed the development of undergraduate Wellness majors in the Exercise and Movement Science degree at QUT and has been a published and recognised researcher in children’s physical activity and in Wellness. Tom has served ACHPER Queensland as President, Vice-President, Secretary and Management Committee member, as well as being a presenter or organiser of every ACHPER QLD Conference since 1995. A member of the ACHPER QLD Management Committee for 15 years, he was also a National Vice President for 4 years, and on the Organising Committee for three National ACHPER conferences, having chaired the 2009 Conference.
