Wayne Gore , Management Committee Member

Wayne Gore is an experienced secondary health and physical education teacher. Graduating from Wollongong University in 1996 with an undergraduate degree in Personal Development, Health and Physical Education, Wayne initially worked in Education Queensland Schools in both Brisbane and Toowoomba. He also worked at the Welling School in London.

Since 2001, Wayne has been employed at Anglican Churchie Grammar School (Churchie), serving in a number of roles including Housemaster (Day and Boarding), Director of Cricket and since 2013 as the Head of Health and Physical Education. Wayne has presented at conferences on the topic of Inquiry-Led Learning which complements his work as a Panel Member, QCAA Endorsement Assessor (trial), member of Churchie’s ‘Effective Thinking’ committee and leader in the field of Senior Physical Education. Additionally, Wayne has enjoyed working with his Faculty to fully implement the 7-10 Australian Curriculum at Churchie from 2016.

Wayne subscribes to the ‘lifelong learner’ philosophy and completed a Graduate Certificate in Educational Leadership from Griffith University in 2013.

Wayne is married to Kirsty, a Health and Physical Education teacher at Loreto College, Coorparoo. They have three school-aged children.
