The Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER) is a national not-for-profit professional association representing people who work in the areas of Health Education, Physical Education, Recreation, Sport, Dance, Community Fitness or Movement Science. The Mission of the Council is to promote healthy lifestyles for all Australians and particularly to study and promote its areas of focus.

ACHPER Membership provides discounts to the Healthy Lifestyles Bookshop including ACHPER publications and over 1,000 books, videos and multimedia resources. All members receive a discount to State based professional development activities and conference, as well as to the National Conference.

ACHPER QLD publishes and distributes ACHPER ACTION on a quarterly basis. You will also receive the National Publication (either the Healthy Lifestyles Journal or the Active & Healthy Magazine) on a regular basis.
