WRAP UP OF APRIL WORKSHOPS
The three professional development sessions held in April were very well attended with positive outcomes reported from the vast majority of attendees. Highlights from the PE workshop included learning multiple ways of collecting primary data with strategies to empower students to take ownership over the creation and collection of this data/evidence. Health workshop participants commented on the use of strategies to introduce the a health inquiry model for more engagement and depth knowledge  and gaining a clearer understanding of the components needed for a stimulus piece. Planning and assessing the Australian curriculum attendees came away with a better understanding of how to design a unit and assessment that will better align to the Australian Curriculum. Participants from all three days commented on the value of the practical sessions and strength of knowledge from presenters. We’ve also collated feedback from further gaps in knowledge and areas of improvement. As always, we are grateful for the feedback our participants provide.
