SENIOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION TWILIGHT WORKSHOP - 26 NOVEMBER 4PM - 6PM
Understanding and applying motor learning concepts and strategies in Physical Education 2019

This 2 hour workshop, held on Monday 26 November from 4pm - 6pm in central Brisbane, will include examples of integrated learning experiences, applying the stages of inquiry, to facilitate students' understanding of motor learning concepts. Other activities will include the modelling of assessment ideas and possible student responses to the Folio task for Unit One. The workshop content will be delivered by Dr Brendan Moy, lecturer at the School of Exercise and Nutrition Sciences, Queensland University of Technology and facilitated by Glenn Amezdroz. LAST CHANCE TO REGISTER FOR ASPIRE - WOMEN'S WORKSHOP
The ASPIRE Women’s Workshop is aimed at female HPE teachers who are working towards positions of school leadership. This is a boutique offering aimed at providing quality mentoring time for our participants. The half day workshop will take place on Sunday 18 November at the University of Queensland before the Health and PE Masterclasses (19 & 20 November). WISB 2018 - WRAP UP
The ACHPER QLD Women in Sport Breakfast was once again a fantastic and inspiring morning, featuring awards, performances and a panel discussion with Queensland elite female athletes. Over 850 school aged girls and their teachers attended this year and heard words of wisdom from Ali Brigginshaw, Captain of the NRLW Broncos Premiership Title holders and Rosie Malone from the Australian Hockeyroos team.Marsden State High School kicked off our morning with a beautiful performance from their contemporary dance team and our 2018 Schoolgirl Athlete of the Year was announced. The UQ School of HMNS awarded the Inspirational HPE Teacher of the Year award to Lauren Hobsen and Minister for Sport, Mick de Brenni joined us to announce the winners of the Inaugural Premier's Award and Award for Motivational Message for our Active Girls in School Program.
